Dear MBA colleagues,

On May 29th, 2010, a conference was held in HEC Montreal to solidify the discussions for the creation of the Association of Canadian MBA’s (ACMBA) in the presence of association executives from McGill University, John Molson School of Business, University of Ottawa, McMaster University, Ryerson University and HEC Montreal.

This was the follow up from the development on the creation of a MBA association during the second annual Canadian MBA Leadership Conference (CMLC) at Richard Ivey School of Business in October 2009.

The goal of launching the association is to unite Canadian MBA students and create a Canadian forefront to international MBA programs. Moreover, it will provide an excellent networking opportunity for all the students involved in a MBA.

We are glad to announce that the Association was officially registered on July 27th, 2010 and things are moving forward. An interim board was elected and a preliminary charter is being developed. We will love to hear your comments, inputs and even have a meeting before the general election. This is an extraordinary step for Canadian MBA’s and we are all part of it.
